OUR MISSION:
‘Delivering measurable performance benefits through the development of emotional intelligence’
EQ4U has been working with a range of clients in commerce, industry and the public sector since 1998 in the delivery of *emotional intelligence (EQ) consultancy, leadership and team development. Our approach is based on a passionate belief in the value of emotional intelligence and its benefits to both our business and personal lives.
We believe that there is an increasingly convincing ‘hard case for soft skills’ and that the application of integrity based emotionally intelligent thinking and its integration into leadership decision making is a critical component of effective performance. Emotional competence (applied EQ) can achieve not only personal benefits for the people concerned but also commercial profits and political credibility.
*The terms ‘emotional intelligence’ and ‘emotional quotient’ (EQ) tend to be used interchangeably. Strictly defined, ‘EQ’ relates to a level/quotient of emotional intelligence.
Definition of emotional intelligence
Acknowledging and understanding the influence of emotions on ourselves and others and responding using integrity and intuition to guide behaviour
Jan Childs (1998)
